Spy Lenses and Frame

LENS CURVATURE

SPHERICAL: Traditional spherical lenses have a consistent vertical and horizontal curve in the lens. If the edge of the les were to continue around back to itself it would from a spherical shape. This is the most commonly used lens profile.

TORIC: A Toric lens has differing horizontal and vertical base curves-meaning that vertically the curvature is different than the horizontal curvature. This shape of the lens allows a unique appearance that is very wearable and give a larger, high wrap frames a modern look and feel.

ARC®: Spy Optic’s ARC® (accurate Radius Curvature) lenses are used in to provide the highest quality and most optically correct, distortion-free vision. ARC® lenses are decentered, eliminating distortion and allowing true clarity. All ARC® lenses are optical class 1 quality.


POLARISATION: Polarised lenses act like slatted window blinds-when light hots a reflective surface it bounces and scatters, reducing contrast and clarity. The “blinds” in our Trident lenses block scattered light rays but let in the “right” light, allowing you to see clearly and fight eye fatigue.

TRIDENT POLARISED LENSES: All of Spy’s polarised sunglasses feature premium injected Trident lenses. Trident lenses diffuse glare through the use of an integrated polarising filter layered within the injected lens, allowing incredible clarity even in the harshest conditions. Trident polarised lenses are of the highest quality available, and effectively eliminate more than 99% of the blinding glare. Spy’s premium Trident polarised lenses will outlast and out perform a typical polarised lens every day of the week (and twice in Sunday!).  

FRAME TECHNOLOGY

PROPIONATE: Spy Optic is one of a few elite manufacturers to offer frames crafted in premium propionate. Frames constructed fashioned in propionate have a sleek, dense finish that is modern, comfortable, and durable.


MONEL ALLOY: Monel is an engineered alloy of Nickel, Silver and Copper that creates a lightweight, yet extremely durable frame. Monel Alloy is malleable, corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic for well-fitting and longwearing shades.


GRILAMID: Spy uses flexible Grilamid in its Scoop® series and other sort-friendly styles. Grilamid frames are shatter
resistant, comfortable and ready to take on the world in any climate condition.




SCOOP VENTING SYSTEM: Spy Optics patented Scoop® venting system combats lens fogging by promoting airflow between the lens and the wearer’s face. Scoop® forces air through strategically places vents of varying aperture on the frame, effectively shutting down fog and keeping your vision clear.





HYTREL: The Hytrel rubber found on Scoop® frame temples in a unique hydophilic compound that increases in tackiness when intrduced to moisture. When you sweat, Hytrel Keeps your shades firmly in place and ensures a longer ride.

Spy warranty

General Warranty Information

Manufacturers warranties come with all items we sell. The details of the warranty period are usually detailed on the swing tag or the instructions booklet.

Spy Sunglasses are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from date of purchase. Your Spy warranty is only valid with a proof of purchase from an authorised dealer. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratched or broken lenses, lost screws, fading or peeling of frames, or nose piece and frame deterioration. Any alterations to the sunglasses will void your warranty. The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace, in part or in full, sunglasses returned for warranty or repair. Warranty claims and other repairs are at the complete discretion of the manufacturer.

How to make a warranty claim or have your sunglasses repaired:

Option 1: Take them to your nearest stockist; and they will be able to assist you in sending them back;
Option 2: Return the item to the manufacturer yourself;
Option 3: Post back to us with our Repair and Warranty claim form. We will forward them to the manufacturer on your behalf (postage charges apply). Please complete the form and attach to your return. Package your sunglasses (inside their protective case) in a sturdy box with padding. 

• If the problem is minor, such as a missing screw, you can see your local stockist or optometrist; they should be able to help you with this problem!

Important details

• Glasses should be kept in their protective pouch when not being worn.
• Important: to validate your warranty please present to the retailer your receipt for proof of purchase.
