Waiting for the Sun

After meeting in Britain in 1999, Julien and Antoine quickly became friends and moved to Paris with the idea of launching a wooden sunglass collection at an affordable price. And so, Waiting For The Sun was born.

Mixing surf, arts, design and inspiration from friends, Waiting For The Sun continues to be a unique force in the sunglass industry. Through its creation of raw materials, the brand has become a major player in the optics world while still keeping its focus on developing sustainable products.

In 2013, Waiting For The Sun moved from solely manufacturing wooden sunglasses and created B0IS2, a 100% biodegradable and natural material which holds the strong qualities found in acetate. Waiting For The Sun now offers a new collection, SLASH, made of high quality and handmade acetate, catering to the needs of every consumer.
