One of Oakley's most popular styles, the Holbrook is regarded as one of the best lifestyle frames on the market. Now available in a range of frame variations, we've broken down the much-loved collection with video try-ons, highlighting the key differences between each Holbrook-inspired style.

Loved for its comfortable fit and classically cool shape, the Holbrook is designed for both lifestyle and sport. Inspired by the much-loved Oakley Frogskins from the 80s, the Holbrook was first released in 2010 through a collaboration with Olympic snowboarder Shaun White and has since become one of Oakley's most in-demand styles. Due to its ongoing popularity, Oakley has continued to release new frame variations, catering to larger sizes, alternative fits and different frame finishes.

Holbrook - Original

The original design that paved the way for future variations, the Holbrook features a classic rectangular shape with a keyhole nose bridge and a slightly curved frame for a secure fit. The original design has a 55mm eye size and is considered a standard fit, excelling in comfort while offering excellent coverage. Its timeless design was inspired by the screen heroes of the 40s to 60s, designed with the American spirit and adventure in mind. With Oakley's signature O'Matter™ lightweight frame material, the Holbrook is the everyday icon with a versatile design to take you from everyday leisure to action-packed adventures.

The Holbrook with Oakley's signature Prizm™ lenses in a classic grey tint is designed to enhance colour while increasing detail. The Prizm™ Grey lens offers the most neutral viewing while being the best lens for bright light and sunny days.

Holbrook XL

The larger fit of the popular frame, the Oakley Holbrook XL was created to cater to those who require sunglasses that can sit comfortably on larger faces. The Holbrook XL comes in a range of Prizm™ lenses with technology catered to different sports and light conditions.

Oakley Holbrook vs Holbrook XL

With the same look as the original, the key difference is the sizing which is scaled up. The XL's lens is wider than the regular fit with a 59mm eye size and is slightly larger in height. This expanded lens results in a wider frame, designed to sit comfortably against medium to large heads.

The Holbrook XL comes in a Prizm™ Black lens, Oakley's darkest everyday lens with colour and detail-enhancing technology. The Prizm™ Black polarised lens has a slight mirrored appearance, aiding in deflecting glare and is best suited to bright light situations.

Holbrook Metal

Oakley took one of their best-selling frames and crafted it in a lightweight and durable metal frame for an updated look that excels in performance. This modern take on the classic style features the same distinctive shape as the Holbrook, with advanced technology to take it to the next level. For added comfort and grip, the Metal has Unobtainium® grip on the temples and features a Hollowpoint hinge system which moves smoothly without wearing out while offering a sleek look.

The Holbrook Metal comes in two sleek matte gunmetal frame variations. This model features Oakley's signature Prizm™ Sapphire lens, a grey base tint with a blue mirror finish that works great in every environment, but is especially impactful in deflecting bright light on sunny days while increasing colour and detail.

Holbrook (A) - Alternative Fit

To cater to those who require an alternative fit to regular frames, Oakley has released the Holbrook (A), a low-bridge fit alternative to the standard frame. The (A) features the same shape with a more narrow nose bridge, less curvature in the frame, and larger nose pads in order for them to sit more securely on those with a low nose bridge. If you find that regular sunnies tend to slide off your face, then the (A) might be the perfect fit for you.

The Holbrook (A) comes in a variety of lens colours and technology to cater to all active lifestyles. The Prizm™ Violet lens features a grey tint base and purple mirrored lenses that aid in deflecting glare from the eyes. While best suited to bright light situations, the Prizm™ Violet lens is a fantastic everyday, multipurpose lens for all conditions.

Holbrook Mix

The Holbrook Mix is a hybrid between the original and the Metal version. The Mix looks almost identical to the original Holbrook, however, features an O'Matter™ frame front and stainless steel temples with the Unobtainium® grip. For those who prefer the look of the original, but are after extra frame enhancements, the Mix is the best of both styles.

The Holbrook Mix comes in a few different colour variations with the O'Matter™ frame front and stainless steel temples. This Mix features a polished black frame front with dark steel temples and Prizm™ Black polarised lenses that block reflective glare. The perfect everyday style, the Mix combines style and performance with ease.

Holbrook TI

Oakley's latest addition to the collection, the Holbrook TI features a razor-thin titanium frame that is comfortably lightweight and durable. While the most different in appearance out of the entire collection, the TI showcases the Holbrook's large square frame design with sleek contemporary cutouts. The titanium frame has many added benefits such as being an ultra-strong and corrosion-resistant frame material, making this style ready for any adventure no matter how extreme.

The TI's look has not only been completely revolutionised but also comes in an array of exciting contemporary colourways. This TI features a Satin Pewter titanium frame, showcasing a bronzed finish with Prizm™ Tungsten polarised lenses to match. Oakley's Prizm™ Tungsten lens has a bronze base, which provides a warm coloured lens to look through while enhancing colour and contrast. This lens is particularly effective in low-light environments where detail can be compromised. Bronze lens colours enhance colour even further, ensuring you never miss any details.
