Photochromic Sunglasses

Photochromic lenses adjust to the surrounding light conditions; these lenses will darken in bright light situations and lighten in softer light or when you are indoors. Photochromic lenses, also known as transition lenses, automatically activate when exposed to UV light.

Photochromic sunglasses are great for cyclists as they can adapt to all different light conditions, limiting the need to switch between sunglasses in both bright and compromised light conditions. Whether you're riding through shady environments or out on the open road, photochromic lenses will adjust accordingly so you can focus on what's ahead.

Yes, photochromic lenses will adjust to outdoor light and block UVA and UVB rays.

Photochromic lenses offer a high level of protection against the sun, just as regular lenses with a category 3 or 2 do. Transitional lenses are favoured for their convenience as they save you from carrying around more than one pair of sunglasses for different light conditions which is why they are great for cities and environments with both shade and sun.

While you can find photochromic and polarised sunglasses, not all photochromic lenses are polarised and won't block glare like regular polarised lenses do.
