LENSES
Epokhe sunglasses are manufactured using Carl Zeiss lenses, a world leader in premium, innovative & high-performance sunglass lenses.
Materials - Epokhe uses Carl Zeiss lenses that are either Polycarbonate or CR39 Hard Resin. CZV lenses have superior optical quality, are high performance, impact-resistant, lightweight, durable and scratch-resistant. Carl Zeiss lenses block 100% of harmful UV rays.
Quality - Carl Zeiss Vision has spectacular Sun lens quality control. In fact, CZV personnel inspect every single lens; ensuring the highest quality standards is met.
Tints and Coatings - ZEISS sun lenses come with superior protective and exclusive thin film coatings (mirrors and anti-reflective) created to guarantee outstanding performance in every category and in all weather conditions.
LENS CATEGORIES
Category 0 - These lenses are classed as fashion spectacles and not sunglasses. They provide limited or no UV protection.
Category 1 - These are not classed as sunglasses. They do provide limited protection from the sun and some UV protection.
Category 2 - Category 2 lenses provide a medium level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection.
Category 3 - Category 3 lenses provide a high level of sun glare protection and good UV protection.
Category 4 - These are special purpose lenses that must not be used while driving at any time.

Epokhe sunglasses are made in Italy. The frames are manufactured using a variety of materials like raw acetate, titanium, alpaca (nickel silver) and stainless steel.
