LENSES
All Miu Miu sunglasses contain a CR39 lens. Known as ‘hard resin’ or ‘organic glass’ the CR39 lens offers a valid and highly efficient alternative to glass. The CR39 lens is 100% UV protection, high impact resistant and more scratch-resistant than other plastic lenses. The CR39 lens in Miu Miu sunglasses are lightweight and assure minimum chromatic aberration.
All Miu Miu sunglasses comply with the Australian Sunglass Standards AS/NZS 1067:2003 so you can rest assured that your eyes are protected.
LENS CATEGORIES
Category 0 - These lenses are classed as fashion spectacles and not sunglasses. They provide limited or no UV protection.
Category 1 - These are not classed as sunglasses. They do provide limited protection from the sun and some UV protection.
Category 2 - Category 2 lenses provide a medium level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection.
Category 3 - Category 3 lenses provide a high level of sun glare protection and good UV protection.
Category 4 - These are special purpose lenses that must not be used while driving at any time.

FRAMES
Miu Miu sunglasses are manufactured with the finest quality cellulose acetate material. Cellulose acetate is one of the most versatile of plastic materials and the most commonly used in sunglasses. The adaptable material offers the possibility of a wide colour combination as well as being high mechanical strength, chemical resistance and hypoallergenic.
Monel Metal - The range of Miu Miu metal frames are produced with the most commonly used monel metal. The mixture of nickel, copper and iron keeps its strength when shaped and is corrosion and stress-resistant.
